A 25 peg, stream fed lake set in the beautiful Brantham countryside
The Brantham Angling Club was born more than 40 years ago when Mr Keeble (the local farmer) agreed to offer the use of his lake to children who would like to learn to fish. The parents enjoyed teaching their children to learn fishing so much that they really wanted to have a go in this beautiful and well-stocked lake! The parents approached Mr Keeble who agreed to loan them the lake for the use of the Brantham Angling Club which was then set up in 1984.
Fishing is allowed from 16 June to 15 March. The lake has a good stock of Roach, Rudd and Perch with a good head of Carp averaging between 6-8lbs. Also present are Bream and Tench.
With depths averaging at 5 feet and going up to 9 feet this is perfect venue for float fishing. Fish caught in the last few years include Carp to 15lb, Bream to 5lb, Tench to 3.5lb, Perch to 3lb, Roach and Rudd to 1lb.
